The Night Manager
Lust... for Power, Money, Change and Happiness. I included some of the photography that I have taken in the studio along with illustrations that I created, all imagery was my own. The final piece was created in Duotone (Red and Black)
I designed this for the Penguin Student Design Awards for 2020. This was the Adult Fiction book cover for John Le Carre's "The Night Manager". One key element I want to capture in this design is bold and intense which is why the typography is so prominent. I wanted to make sure it stood out as well as be sleek to keep to the genre.

BRIEF
To redesign the front cover of Bill Bryson, John le Carre, and Michelle Magorian’s books for the Penguin Student Design Award.
A Short History of Nearly Everything
I designed this for the Penguin Student Design Awards for 2020. Adult Non-Fiction book design for Bill Bryson's 'A Short History of Nearly Everything'. The concept behind this design was Bryson has 282 books in his bibliography. The man on the cover is walking away from these books and is reading Bryson's. Why look in 282 books for the answer when you have it in one.

Goodnight Mister Tom
I designed this for the Penguin Student Design Awards for 2020. Children's book cover design for Michelle Magorian "Goodnight Mister Tom". Sammy, the dog is my main focus for this cover. He plays such an important part in Mister Tom's and Williams's journey in the book, he is always there and I really wanted to focus on him. The other cover further down the page of the two shoes was inspired again by the relationship between Tom and William.
